NOTE: Metastorm Integration Manager (MIM) is also known as PM4Data.
NEW FALL 2008 - Metastorm Integration Manager (MIM) Developer's Workshop
After completion of this three-day course the student will have a basic
understanding of the tools and technologies for integrating programs and data with MIM.
The major area of focus is creating custom Process Flows that can include custom programs,
integration with databases and other data sources. Development of custom Transfer Request
Exits is also covered. This class is intended for students who will be responsible for
working in a MIM environment to support integration with or without Transfer Requests.
This is an advanced level course and students in this class should posses some familiarity
with networking, programming and computer fundamentals. This class assumes the student has
a working knowledge of WebSphere MQ or takes the WebSphere MQ Quick Start or similar course.
Students should be reasonably familiar with: WebSphere MQ configuration, Concepts of WebSphere
MQ distributed messaging, WebSphere MQ architectural concepts and programming with a language
such as C, C++, C#, Java, Perl, Ruby or JavaScript. The class is $1,800 per student or $12,600
for up to 12 students.
MIM/PM4Data
Introduction, Usage, & Administration
After
completion of this three-day course students will understand
the components and architecture that
make-up Metastorm Integration Manager. They will move data under several
different configurations and scenarios to other students in
the class. Data movement, message flow, security, logging and
status subsystems will be discussed. The class is designed for
data within their enterprise.
Students wishing to enroll in this class must have completed
WebSphere MQ Introduction, Quickstart, or have equivalent
experience. The class is $1,800 per student or $12,600 for up to 12 students.
MIM/PM4Data Integration Overview
After completion of this two-day course,
students will understand how to program and execute Transfer Request
Exits. Students will then be able to write integration
code to existing and new business systems as part of Transfer
Request. In addition to labs, the
discussions also talk to message flows, security, logging and
status subsystems. This class is designed for students
preparing to make use of Metastorm Integration Managerto move data
within their enterprise and who want to understand how
Metastorm Integration Manager can be used to help facilitate Advanced
Enterprise Application Integration. Students wishing to enroll
in this class must have completed WebSphere MQ Introduction or
Quickstart, and the Metastorm Integration Manager Introduction, Usage and Administration
course or have equivalent experience. The class is $1,200 per student or $10,800 for up
to 12 students
MIM/PM4Data
Comprehensive
After completion of this five-day course,
students will understand the components and architecture that
make-up Metastorm Integration Manager. They will move data under several
different configurations and scenarios to other students in
the class. Data movement, message flow, security, logging and
status subsystems will be discussed. The class is designed for
students preparing to make use of Metastorm Integration Managerto move
data within their enterprise and who want to understand how Metastorm Integration Manager
can be used to help facilitate Enterprise
Application Integration. This course is a combination of the Metastorm Integration Manager
Introduction, Usage and Management course and the Metastorm Integration Manager Integration
Overview course. Students wishing to enroll in this
class must have completed WebSphere MQ Introduction,
Quickstart, or have equivalent experience. The class is $3,000 per student or
$18,000 for up to 12 students.
Metastorm Integration Manager (MIM) for CICS Developer's Workshop.
After the completion of this five-day
course the student will have a basic understanding of using
Metastorm Integration Manager for CICS. The student will learn how
to create and manage Web Service interfaces to CICS resources,
programs and data. Developers will work with GUI tools on
Windows-based systems to define and manipulate Web Service
interfaces to front-end CICS-managed resources. The student
will also be able to create composite business processes,
integrate existing 3270 applications into Web Services and
integrate external Web Services into existing applications.
This class is designed for technical professionals, future
architects and developers of Metastorm Integration Manager for CICS.
Students in this class should have a
good understanding of networking, architecture, systems
analysis, programming, design, a basic understanding of z/OS
and CICS, and some knowledge of WebSphere MQ. The class is
$3,000 per student or $18,000 for up to 12 students.
WebSphere MQ Quick Start
After
completion of this one-day class, students will have a
high-level understanding of the components that make up
WebSphere MQ and what it is. WebSphere MQ planning,
middleware, and messaging concepts are discussed and the class
also includes a basic hands-on labs. This class is designed
for students preparing to make use of WebSphere MQ and that
want to gain an understanding of what WebSphere MQ is and how
it works. This class is $600 per student or $6,000 for up to
12 students.
WebSphere Introduction and Administration
This two-day course provides students with an introduction to
WebSphere MQ concepts and basic administration. Students will
be able to install, configure and administer WebSphere MQ. The
class makes use of several labs to reinforce lecture material
covered. Students will create queue managers, queues, processes,
triggers, and exchange messages between queue managers. This
class is designed for students preparing to make use of WebSphere MQ.
Administrators and application developers who need knowledge of how
to configure and administer WebSphere MQ can attend the class. No
previous experience with WebSphere MQ is assumed. The class is $1,200
per student or $10,800 for a private class (up to 12 students).
WebSphere Application Programming
After
completion of this three-day course, students
will be able to write programs using procedural languages,
which make use of MQI for facilitating application development
within an WebSphere MQ environment. All MQI calls will be
discussed in detail and made use of in labs that create
real-world applications. This class is designed for students
preparing to make use of WebSphere MQ from an application
development perspective. The course is taught using the C
Programming Language
for hands-on labs. Basic experience in developing business
application programs using C; basic understanding of
MQ structures and concepts. WebSphere MQ Overview course is
recommended but not required. The class is $1,800 per student
or $12,600 for up to 12 students.
